Weekend
I am not even going to post all of the terrible horrible no good very bad stuff that I ate this weekend. There is a new weightloss and healthy habits challenge starting at work tomorrow. Instead of using this weekend to get ahead, I used it as a last will and testament to junk food.

Sunday November 8th
1 overly full bowl of cheerios with 1% milk
1 fun sized bag of M&M's
1 piece of some kind of coffee cake
1 small serving of monkey bread
6 grapes
4 pieces of summer sausage (wait- Joss ate one, so it was only 3 slices)
Not a great start by any means and I'm going to an afternoon event where there will be all sorts of delicous yummy yums to be eaten. The challenge today is not to resist all of it, but to enjoy the treats in moderation instead of stuffing my face.
4 corn flake peanutbutter thingies
1 handful of pretzels
1 handful of Veggie Earth chips
1/4 cup apples
1/4 cup banana
1 Reese's Pieces Cookie
1 ginormous steak
2 cups cheesy potatos
1 cup sugar free jello
So- my eating habits are terrible! BUT I already knew that. Let's see what tomorrow has in store!

A New Direction
It's been 2 months since I last blogged. I have decided to take this blog in a different direction. There will still be the occasional photo of my darling children or a story about my day, but I am going to use this as my public journal for tracking what I eat and how much I exercise as well. Let's face it, I'm not getting any healthier as the ounces gained turn into pounds! So, with a much more public admission as to my terrible eating habits and my lack of motivation to get up and move, I'm hoping that the embarrassment or it all and the peer pressure will provide me with the motivation needed to make some changes. My supervisor convinced me that we should first give up sweets. I haven't complied 100%, but I have lessened the amount of Halloween I'm stealing from Joss' bucket! So, here we go! The first entry will be this evening.

Labor Day Parade
We went down to the labor day parade this morning. Joss wasn't sure what a parade was or if she would like it,

We found a good spot at the beginning of the route and watched as the first band led the way.

Joss thought the parade was a neat thing and then...
People started throwing candy at her. From that moment on, she was sold on this whole aprade business. Except for the giant balloons. She thought they were scary.

He's on the move!
Harris is now mobile. Not crawling, not walking, but he is a bound and determined scooter. He can flounder around on his stomach, flail his arms and legs, and get some good distance over the course of 15 munutes or so. Joss and I had to have a discussion about how we can't leave small toys out anymore and that the floor has to be safe for Harris. When I leave him on the bed, I have to create a barrier with pillows to prevent him from scooting off! Although I am excited for his mobility, I am far more aware of the lack of cleanliness of my floors now!
